Lamp fitting, cable and plug

Brass Lamp Screw-In Electric Lamp Fitting Kit.

Make your own DIY lamp using this ready-wired lamp holder connector Kit. Lamp-holder and flex comply with safety regulations and have B.S. Approval. 

Kit contents:

• Threaded 10mm cable supplied ready-wired with brass bayonet bulb fitting
• 1.8 metres of 3 core flex cord (white)
• Cord grip (white)
• Two washers (red)
• Hex nut (brass)
• Fused plug (white)

* Light bulb not supplied

Attach fittings to lamp base with circa 12mm hole. Makes one lamp. There is no on/off switch on this fitting – i.e. lighting is controlled at the plug socket.

Directions:
Remove cord grip, brass hex nut and one red washer (leaving one red washer and the brass washer in place at the bayonet end). To remove the components unscrew the cord grip and brass hex nut. Gently put the three parts over the plug end of the cable. Next, feed the white cord through lamp base hole ensuring that the red washer sits neatly over the lamp base hole and the bayonet holder fits neatly. From underneath the base, thread the remaining red washer, hex nut and cord grip over the plug end of the cable and up to the underneath of the lamp base hole. The lamp base hole should now be sandwiched between the two red washers. Screw the remaining components in place – they will fit neatly onto the thread part of the bayonet fitting. Finally, wire the plug.
